In my author visits, I bring Chicken Chores to life with storytelling, vivid photos, and interactive elements that captivate young audiences. Drawing from my experience as an elementary school librarian, I guide children through the creative journey—showing how an idea transforms from imagination to a real, tangible creation. I also share how to "open the magic of reading’” by choosing books that excite and inspire them. I encourage kids to recognize their unique gifts and use them to create something they love. My goal is to spark curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of stories in every young reader I meet!
The Basics
Presentations
Sessions are tailored to engage the ages of the students in attendance and fit within the scheduling needs of the campus. Usually 2-3 grade levels are combined in a large auditorium-style assembly in the cafeteria or library (to be determined with school).
Small Group Q&A
I absolutely love meeting with a couple of small groups of students (8-10) while on campus.
Pre-Signed Books Available
I generally send home student book order forms in advance so families have the option to order autographed copies that will be delivered to classrooms the day of the visit.
